Traction Tracks

Postby RCMike » Thu Jan 30, 2014 1:59 pm

No idea yet if these are a waste of £11 but whilst surfing for "stuff" came across a pair of these. I think to test them i need to get stuck in 2WD, stick em under the real wheels and see what happens. Might give it a try on Saturday and report back if they just get spit out the other side with the rest of the mud.
They look a bit flimsy and the ridges look a bit shallow, but are mostly solid 1.2cm plastic in the middle and fold up quite small.

I've looked at these before. I think they would possibly work ok for a standard vehicle in the snow, but a big heavy 4x4 in mud? I doubt it, but let us know when you get them :gr8:

They have these on the shelf at Robert dyers for 12 quid. I'm just gonna wait and get some 38mm waffle boards when I'm feeling flush lol

Only free if your workshop is next door to a flooring supplier with an unguarded skip!

Yea, never got to try them but they still live in the boot of the truck. One day i'll stick em under the wheels just for a laugh and see what happens.

I was lucky when one of our members (dirty frog) sold a load of the proper waffle boards for about £30.
Like it's been said I'm not sure these will be up for the job in off road conditions , might be enough to get you out of trouble .
