Well just watched and surprisingly not as bad as I feared, but bad enough. What we need is a version from our point of view.... The thing that always get me is we have something like 3% of countryside routes available to us, and they have 95% but that's not enough....

Watched it with great interest it's the ramblers again that want to have peace and quiet when there out and about not thinking that without us the lanes won't be even passable and they want to see a complete ban of all 4x4 from all lanes in Britain.

Cheers Paul good watch that :gr8:

Thing that's gets me is the walkers can walk anywhere don't have to stick to the track or footpath plus they wouldnt walk down a A or B road :|

But I can see this spreading :(

As said bad enough.

I think we really need a pro-active aproach to fighting this as once the public has made their mind up, even if thier not involved, it will be hard to sway them the other way :(

It's a bit bias i feel  but it will never be any other way, they constantly refer to us as "Off Roaders" when in fact we are "greenlaners" using legal road's and there's no "balanced" suggestion from the interviewer to the walkers that they could actually use a footpath from which MPV's are unable to drive legally :rules: of which there are many more for them to choose from.

Plenty of pic's of a disapproving old biddy with her walking stick standing on the road, helpless as car's and motor bikes pass her by (she obviously never stood in the middle of a road before, but then again nor have I I'm not that stupid and if I was forced to get out on a road Hi Viz for me  ), and the people who 17 yrs ago moved in next to BOAT (which i'm guessing has been there for a good few hundred years) and now want the road shut :slap: , I have a foot path at the front and back of my house, I might ask the fun police to close it as i hate walkers passing my house at all hour's (they can be pretty loud at closing time)
I'm going to start a FB group Troublesome Walkers And Tourist's Society because all those tourists really do my head in with there looking and pointing at all our natural heritage and great building's just makes my blood boil!

Peace and love to all I'm :out:

Thanks for the link Paul :)
A very on the fence look at it.and at least it did not show us in the light of a load of hooligans ripping up lanes and off piest, maybe we should be lobbying government for a change in law and county councils to change boats to have vehicular access only, there's plenty of dedicated footpaths and bridleways why do they need to walk up roads, I do think that the Peak District council will seat the president in the end and it will result in loads getting closed if not all. They talk about the 2000 people heard in the consultation is that info open to view and what proportion is for and against as I reposted it loads, which I hope people wrote into, but would be interested to know whether they have taken any notice of our views or not. Is there any way to find out?

with are the different trades that the members of this club have why cant we make our own short documentry from looking after the lanes to the way we drive them and submit it to the BBC for them to air that way people can see the truth overall and make up there own minds rather than being brainwashed by the people that wear bobble hats

its like i keep saying, the only way we have any hope of winning this issue is to stand together, all clubs/groups need to project a single voice, as it stands its too fragmented, with no solid opposition just lots of people saying lots of things, we could be as vocal/effective as the ramblers if we pull together. i know there are things going on in the background but the time is now, i was shocked to find out that the fwdc is not a member of glass for instance, make no mistake, "they" will win as the hatred for 4x4s is huge and wealthy landowners ect are the very people with influence

Ok why don't we start a fighting fund to help glass legally defend our rights.
I'll start by pledging £20
