Imber Village and laning, Saturday 31st. March 2018.

Postby The Four Wheel Drive Club » Sat Mar 17, 2018 9:13 pm

We are organizing a beginner/intermediate laning day with a visit to Imber Village on Saturday 31st of March those who wish to may sign the visitors book in the church which helps secure continued access rights and funding.

We shall start from West Knoyle Services on the A303 Post code BA12 6AQ at 10.30am using a route including all sorts of vehicular rights of way which will bring us via Imber to finish at Stonehenge post code SP4 7DE by approximately 4.30pm.

Information on the village is here http://www.imberchurch.org.uk/

Imber will only be open to the public for about eighteen days in 2018 and is a unique and special place. Please note that the Ministry of Defence always reserves the right to close off access to Salisbury Plain and Imber for operational reasons and without notice, but if that happens we will do some more lanes.

We intend to do a few lanes in the morning, then stopping at Imber Village for lunch, followed by more lanes in the afternoon.
Please bring refreshments for when we stop at Imber.
There will be mud and water, so please bring water with you to clean lights and number plates at the end of the day.
There will be recovery gear available, but if you have your own, please bring it. Just remember, the one that gets stuck, connects the tow.

For those with a CB, ch21 on the way to the meet.

Spaces are limited so only put your name down if you intend to come.
