hants/berks laning June 11th

Postby The Four Wheel Drive Club » Thu May 25, 2017 2:38 pm

We are organising a nice little drive around Arborfield leaving from old basing on Sunday 11th June

The starting point will be the layby on the left as you leave old basing on the A30 east bound http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=46 ... &ay=152570

and finishing near Bracknell

We require all attendees to have good recovery points and AT tyres are a minimum. Snorkel needed as there are some fords and may be a little high. Some lanes are rutted and there are no drive rounds so only really suited to vehicles with good ground clearance. Some lanes have a lot of over hanging branches so you will incur some scratches but most SHOULD polish out.

Recovery equipment desirable but leaders will have the necessary gear.

Please bring food, refreshments for the day as there aren't any suitable places to stop along the route. We also recommend you bring water for washing number plates and lights at the end of the day.

This will be a leisurely drive with plenty of opportunities for photos as there is some lovely scenery and some interesting objects and buildings along the route.

Start time is 10.00am and due to finish around 4.30pm

Numbers limited so please put your name down only if you are sure to attend.
