Picked up from mot.
Had a spot of welding needed and headlights adjusted.
Not bad for 16yr old truck.

Hi Mark,

did you bolt it down?

i bought that drawer we discussed a while back. the bulkhead is at an angle so this would leave some dead space behind the storage box and the bulkhead .... great place for dog hair etc to gather up. thinking what options there are to have it accessible at times for cleaning etc without having to undo all the bolts.

Hi John,

Yes mate it’s bolted down through the tub floor, the box I have is made specifically to go behind the bulkhead and is shaped to suit so it fits quite snuggly against it, however there is still a small gap (around 8-10mm) as you wouldn’t want them touching as it might rub and make a noise, you would be surprised how much the body flex’s, especially when off road. So I will probably just remove it a couple of times a year and clean behind it

Thanks Mark - wish they had done the same with the drawer!!!

Am thinking of purposely leaving a larger gap to create another little storage area between the drawer and the bulkhead where one can stash stuff without it rolling around ....

Yeah it could make a handy little storage space, or if you did want to fix it close to the bulkhead you could get some firm foam off the interweb, cut it to shape and wedge it in the void, there’s plenty of companies that sell it and will sell you the exact size and firmness required :gr8:

Just been looking at my truck in it’s sad state
Been off the road for a few months now but still starts at every attempt.
I’ve been very busy with work so not been able to get out.
Hopefully for the winter months she will be back with avengance and a slightly different stance.
