Feck me, I've just googled the price of injectors :o and I thought Land Rovers were a cheap and easy fix????

Here's a cheaper alternative for you PJ.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2001-LANDROVE ... 3641.l6368

Good luck :?

If I was in the UK it would be a new engine. I will get it fixed this time (tax free will help) but a new motor is a must within the next two years.

From my googling, there a lot of people that suggest replacing the wiring loom first - £30 and may solve the problem?

I would try asking about this on lr4x4 as it's mainly a tech forum
also some td5's suffer from poor injector seals/washers
might be worth having a look before you spend big money
i'm so skint i cant even pay attention

All five injectors? Never in a month of Sunday's will five injectors be needed.

Can you list all the fixes tried so far, and any fault codes given, also any of the live data on the injector balances.

I've replaced, the fuel pump, fuel filter and the regulator was replaced 18 months ago, I then thought it was a fuel line sucking air in (common fault green hose rubbing on chassis)

I dropped it off at the garage after an inspection they sent it on, to an engine specialist garage. I'm waiting for the diagnosis.

No fault codes on the Hawkeye.

Injector seals, one way valve and filter in the filter head, filter head gone porous. All possible culprits.
Injector balances should be between -4 and +4. If these balances are out, I'd suggest a new loom before injectors (definitely not all 5).

Just seen the regulator is 18 months old. That's old enough to fail also.

This ended up being the washers under the injectors needing replacing, it cost me an arm and a leg!
