Turkey Laning Friday 28th December 2018

Postby The Four Wheel Drive Club » Thu Dec 20, 2018 12:22 am

Like the title says we are organising a day out for all on and around Salisbury Plain on Friday 28th December 2018.

The event will start at 10.00 am at the layby just north of Aughton here http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=42 ... &ay=158753 nearest postcode SN8 3RX.

Finish point if all goes to plan will be here http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=41 ... &A=Y&Z=120 at approximately 4.30 pm.

The route will have some mud, ruts and water, but is suitable for all 4x4 vehicles with good ground clearance. A/T' tyres should be considered as a minimum and good recovery points.

We will stop for lunch and a catch up at sheltered spot, so don't forget those sandwiches and a warm drink.

Please only put your name down if you are sure to attend as spaces are limited to one group.
Please bring some clean water as you may need to wash your lights and number plates off when the day has finished.

There will be recovery gear available, but if you have your own please bring it with you. Just remember, the one that gets stuck connects the tow.

For those with CB, ch 21 on the way to the meet.

I'd like to come as long as I can loosen up a brake calliper slider.

Unfortunately, Anna and I committed quite a while ago to visiting the outlaws on Friday. Much rather be laning with you Guys though. Not sure we can re-arrange.

Have a great day out and we wish you a Merry Christmas.

Looks like its the caliper rather than the sliders. If there is a supplier open tomorrow I'll get one and fit it, otherwise... :P I'll let you know either way tomorrow.
